Corrour is a 57,000 acre Highland estate. The station is the highest mainline station in the UK at 1350 feet above sea level.
It is well used by walkers. There is a selection of walks from the station. There are no public roads in this area, making this one of the few parts of Britain, if not the world, where you can travel as people have for thousands of years – by foot!
The shortest walk is just one mile from the station to the east which will take you to Loch Ossian. If you feel like a longer walk it is possible to walk right round the Loch.
If you have a good map with you, there are other paths that lead north and then west.
It is still possible to follow the old path to Kinlochleven some ten miles away or to then join up with the West Highland Way and walk to Fort William. If walking to Kinlochleven, you can catch a bus the rest of the way to Fort William - see Shiel Buses service 44 & 144.

Spean Bridge is a small village which is busy due to the intersection of three main road routes: north to Inverness and Skye, south to Fort William and east to the Cairngorms.
Commando Memorial and Viewpoint
Opened in 1952, this memorial is dedicated to the commandos of the Second World War who trained at nearby Achnacarry Castle and the surrounding area. There are also excellent views of Ben Nevis from here.
The memorial is a mile walk from the village. Although it is along the busy A82 there is a pavement all the way and nice views.
The route passes the quaint Kilmonivaig Parish Church and cemetery dating from 1812.
Walking
To the south of the village is Killiechonate Woodlands which includes an easy figure of eight walk.
Spean Bridge is also on the route of the East Highland Way long distance path so you could walk a section of that.
